Today we pay homage to one of the most delicious, versatile and healthful nuts.
The Almond!
According to nationaldaycalendar.com, "whether you are eating them by themselves or using them for milk, pasta, flour, butter, oil, or meal. Almonds offer a delicious flavor along with many health benefits. They are one of the most heart-healthy foods hands down on the market today packed with vitamin E, magnesium and fiber. "
In honor of today, here's a few ways you can pay homage:

📍Try a new recipe like: 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗛 𝗧𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗟𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗦
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
1 cup (250 mL) raw nuts of your choice
1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar
2 tbsp (30 mL) French Toast Popcorn Seasoning
1 1/2 tbsp (22 mL) water
𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Add the ingredients to the pan of the Electric Pop & Stir in the order listed.
Select the NUTS setting and cook with the lid off until the nuts look sandy, 9–12 minutes.
Move the nuts to a parchment-lined cookie sheet to cool. Sprinkle with additional seasoning while still warm, if you’d like.

Your Friendly Pampered Chef Tip:
Raw nuts give you a crunchy exterior and a softer inside. If you don’t have raw nuts, you can use roasted nuts, but they will be a bit crunchier.
If the nuts reach the edge of the Electric Pop & Stir or clump too much, use a rubber spatula to push them back to the center of the plate.
